I would like to appeal from God’s logic. Upon reflection, how do you think you would have responded if someone had told you that the young David had been appointed our next King? In modern times, would you try to second-guess God’s choice? If you were erudite, formally educated, and a member of the selection committee, would you have voted to send Amos of Tekoa to deliver the message to Israel?
As an adviser to Gideon, would you have entreated him to hold onto his first count of soldiers; his second count? If you were in the group of twelve scouts, would you have cowered as did ten of them, or would you have been one of the two who rose by faith to the occasion?
So then, what do these men have in common? The answer to that question is that these men sought out God’s still small voice. They recognized His voice and obeyed what they heard, even if it contradicted man’s logic, knowing that hearing from God required obedience and sacrifice!

Your financial assistance is the least of the list.
Prayerfully cast your vote
I have heard man’s “logic”: “Follow the money.” “Go for name recognition.” “Don’t vote for the best person; vote for someone who has a ‘chance’ to win.”
I, as recently as in the last primary election, fell prey to this thinking. Because my God is kind to me, with His grace, I came to understand the error of my thinking.
2 Chronicles 7:14 back to top
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
